Harry's Trainer says he is a happy, very loveable lad. He loves loads of fuss and likes to dig holes!!
He doesn't like his teeth being brushed! He would probably be happy as an only dog.

Aidan (Harry) has had 0 cuddles today (9 all together).
If you register or login, you can give him a cuddle too!

Thanks so much to Erik for taking Harry for a trip to Sutton Park today. It was good for him to have a break from the kennels. He will be going home soon and I am sure will be accompanying his new owner on lots of new adventures. :)) Xxx

Today I had the good fortune to walk Harry in Sutton park. When I collected him he was happy to see me and keen to go. I tried to coerce him into my car but he did not go for that not even with treats. At no point did he want a treat, so his go to treat might well be a toy.

He was initially a bit nervous in the car but he soon settled down and lay down in the car. We drove on motorway, A and B roads, not a problem for him. He got up a couple of times to get more comfortable.

We did a 45 min walk in Sutton Park, was very busy today so lots of opportunity to she how he did. As always initially he pulled but with a number off corrections he soon was pulling less and now and then had the lead in a smile. He met a number of dogs who were either on lead and off lead. He was curious, he would be alerting but not flow into targeting which is good. He was brilliant with a golden retriever puppy keen to meet and investigate. We had one little moment, when two Pooble, Labrador cross where a bit to enthusiastic for Harry’s liking and he gave them a soft growl. Which was fair enough, I even had to ask to owner to put his dogs on the lead. He uses his body language and canine etiquette really well. At one point when a golden retriever wanted to engage but Harry made it clear he was not interested by turning his head away an not creating eye contact.

I was really pleased with Harry’s walk, he responds really well to positive feedback and physical praise when he does something you need him to do. Ohh yes, before I forget he actually likes to engage with humans. During the walk I had it a number of times he would try and engage people. Final thing, he did not get spooked by cyclists as there were quite a number around.

Harry, it was a pleasure and privilege meeting you, I wish you well in your forever home. I am sure you will soon settle in.

Sorry for the essay :-)

Harry gets my cuddle today as he's the only resident not rehomed or reserved. He is absolutely gorgeous. He may be tall but he's gentle. He also loves to give kisses. His markings are beautiful. I'm sure he won't be in kennels for very long. x

A cuddle for our new arrival Harry. :) What a handsome lad he is and very tall! Declan gave him a bath when he arrived...his trainer had already told us he was a little "grubby" :) She said he loves to dig holes and then lies in them! He enjoyed his dinner and have just checked him on the cameras, he seems quite comfortable. Hoping he will soon have his forever home. Xxx
