Updated: Sunday 16 Sep

The 2018 Greyhound Trust Solihull Annual Dog Show will be held on Sunday 7 October 2018

As usual, we will be holding this very special event at the Solihull Riding Club ,B93 8QE near junction 4 M42.

We will be publishing the event schedules very soon and will put a copy for you to download on this event as they become available.

Event Details

Doors will open at 9.00am and Judging will start from 10.00am - there will be a total of 73 classes

Companion Dog Show, Greyhound Age classes and Novelty classes for Greyhounds and for non-Greyhounds.

There will be Greyhound Class Winner trophies and Champion Trophies

There will also be 7 Championships including a Veteran Greyhound Championship.

Glorious rosettes will be awarded for the oldest dogs in veteran classes.

Entry at the door will be £2 per person and £1 for small children

As usual, there will be trade stands to allow you to indulge in a little retail therapy too.

If you are a dog lover, and particularly, if you own a greyhound, don't hold back.  Bring your dog along to meet some new friends and join in the fun.  Until you win a rosette, you will not understand the joy it brings.  Come along and join in the fun, bringing your friends and family to join the fun and joys.

Dear all, first a huge thank you to everyone who helped at our Dog Show by volunteering, commentating, judging, stewarding, manning the stalls or by coming along and having a greyt time with your hounds :). Thank you especially to our judges whom I work really hard all day - Christine Owen , Verena Cluxton, Anne and Jenny plus your super stewards - Lisa Warren, Jeremy (Casey's dad), Wendy Bray and Bob Bennett. Thanks to our very generous sponsors who paid for all the rosettes and allowed me to buy lovely trophies which encourages Grey owners and stall holders to travel from London, Lincoln, Leeds, Manchester and closer places with their Greys and support all our Greyhound classes. We raised a net profit of over £1,300.00 to continue to help our Greyhounds, thank you :) See you next year. x

Do you have a tombola or raffle stall at the show? I have some bits and pieces which may help. I can drop to the kennels later today if they would be of use.

Wanted Cakes!!!!
We will be running the cake stand at our dog show next week. It was extremely successful last year with everything sold before the end of the show.

This was mainly due to all bakers who made and brought their superb cakes to our show.

If you can bake any for this years show we would be extremely grateful.

We will be there from 8am and our cake stand will be just inside the entrance.

Many many thanks

Without you all it wouldn't be a success
