Sheldon Country Park Walk

Sunday 01 Mar 2020

by Lewisfuggie

Updated: Monday 24 Feb

Meet from 10.45 for 11.00 start at the Car Park on Ragley Drive.

Everyone welcome whether you have a dog or not. All breeds are also welcome. ALL dogs must be kept on the lead whilst on the organised walk. Thank You.

(If you are able to take a kennel dog on the walk, please contact the kennels on 0121 782 7702 a week prior to the event. All kennel dogs MUST wear a muzzle at all times.)

****NOTICE ****

Due to recent complaints by the general public, regarding dogs on our walks, we are having to implement the following rules on ALL our walks now.

*** OWNED DOGS. ***

If your dog is reactive, please ensure they are kept muzzled at all times whilst on the walk... Please ensure you bring your muzzle with you!

The use of flexi leads is strongly NOT recommended, please bring a suitable non extending lead for use on the walk.

Please ensure your dog is kept under control at all times and bring plenty off poo bags with you and pick up poo your dog may leave, disposing of it in the relavant bins on site. Thank you

The walk will start at the Car Park on Ragley Drive and will be around the park to the Airport runway and back again.

The walk should be of approx 90 mins. The walk will be mainly on paths.

R
efreshments are available from the Farm Cafe just by the Car Park, BUT please aware, dogs are not allowed on the Farm site so will need to be left with someone whilst you go to the cafe.

Just a reminder please. If your dog is even slightly reactive please use a muzzle. We reccomend that non retractable leads are used. We have unfortunately received complaints in the past that we have reactive dogs on the walk, please for the sake of your dogs to her to our requests. The last thing we and you would want is a negative report regarding your dog.

We would not wish to cancel these walks due to non compliance of these requests. Thanks so much. Jo x

@bluepeter I'm already picking two dogs up but I'll see if I can squeeze another one in :-)

@Paulbickley We love to get as many residents out as possible. Please give the kennels a call to let them know which dog you would like to take.

Will Elizabeth be picking a dog up from the kennels ? If she is able to bring more than one I would be happy to walk Blue with Izzy (give him a change of scenery)
