Walk at Sutton Park Banners Gate Entrance

10.30am meet for an 11am start

Come along and experience one of Heathers now famous Sutton Walks. You are welcome to come along even if you don't own a greyhound, or if you are interested in finding out more about adopting one.

At the end of the walk (for a small donation) you can enjoy the culinary delights made by Heather and her family. ( Vegetarian Samosas are also available made by a local Indian Restaurant) Coffee,Tea and Squash are also available.

"Paula's Nail Bar" will be with us to clip any doggy nails that need attention. Suggested minimum donation £1.00 per paw. Even the most nervous dogs seem to relax for Paula.

Remember to bring some money to support our mega raffle. Surplus gifts as prizes are always welcome.

100% of the profit from donations, nail clipping and raffle goes to the Perry Barr RGT to fund essential vets bills, food  and kennelling costs.

After 7 years, this will be the last walk that I will be organising. My long suffering parents find it rather chilly in the colder months, and my 2 children have very busy social lives. Gary works every weekend, and so it is a lot to organise without roping in lots of other helpers. (Thanks Ian and Henri).We intend to go out on a bang, so this will be a christmas party to remember with lots of cakes and chocolates!

Sam and Simon will be taking over, so watch this space for future events.

Hi Heather Sorry we couldn't make it today (we were at Webbs with the roadshow), but just wanted to say thanks to all involved for the wonderful walks you've organised. I can definitely say that Sutton Park is one of our favourites and both Gent, Emily and myself will miss your wonderful tuna sandwiches!!!! As Sam says a great turn out for Heathers last walk as organiser.
Sam your photo's are lovely but the park looks drier than it really was!
Heather was deservedly presented with a lovely greyhound statue, some flowers and a box of chocolates and a rousing 'three cheers' for her sterling work over the last 7 years. Heather will not be a stranger she will still be around for the walks and doing valuable work for the trust.
I know people took photo's of the presentation so hopefully they will be posted.
Good luck Simon and Sam with your future plans for the Sutton Walks. I am sure you will receive the same support.....

Well hopefully the rain will ease and stop just after 9 tomorrow(Sunday) morning. The rain will hold off until about 3 to 4 in the afternoon.
Please turn up at Sutton Park to give Heather a great big pat on the back for all her hard work and congratulate Sam and Si for taking over the organisation of the Sutton walk.
It will be boots or wellies because it will be very wet underfoot but hopefully sunny!
Please don't hold me to the forecast but please do turn up if you have nothing on because after the weather this week I'm sure the dogs will enjoy the walk......
